# Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this site. Here is what we have
checked, what we have not checked yet, and how to tell us if something does not work for you.

## What we have checked

- Every picture that means something has a description. Pictures that are only decoration are hidden from screen readers.

- Every link and button has a name that says what it does.

- Every box on a form has a label, and if you miss one the form tells you which.

- Every page fits a phone screen without scrolling sideways. We checked all of them on 11 October 2026.

- We run an automated checker over every page. On 11 October 2026 it found one thing: on three town pages, two dots on the map sit close together on a small screen. Each of those towns is also linked in the words on the page.

## What we have not checked yet

Nobody has listened to the whole site with a screen reader yet.

We went through the site using only a keyboard in September 2026. Pages added since then
have not had that check.

We do not claim to meet any particular standard.

## If something does not work for you

Please [tell us](/contact/). Say what you were trying to do and what happened,
and we will put it right. If the form is the problem, tell us that on the form and leave
a phone number or an email address. We will get in touch whichever way suits you.
